BANTAM A NEWS

Congratulations to Team Blizzard Bantam A team on a Great Job by all Saturday in their 3-3 Tie against Brewster Bulldogs Bantam AA Team at Brewster Skating Academy. Everyone showed up to play this game.  All of your work during off-ice conditioning is paying off. Each of you played the game at full speed proving Coach EJ's philosophy that off-ice conditioning builds

endurance.  In the first period everyone came out strong and skated really hard against The Bulldogs AA team.  Defense kept the puck away from the net to keep the first period of the season Scoreless.  3 minutes into the 2nd period Matt Sangalli sent a perfect pass to Captain Chris Williams who then planted the puck right in the net for the first goal of the game.  With 6

minutes remaining in the 2nd period Brewster Bulldogs shot at our net and were able to score on a rebound.  Then with 2 minutes remaining, The Bulldogs came crashing down on us when Bulldogs took a shot put another one in. Third period puck was put into the net when Chris Williams passed one over to Ryan Creamer who took the puck and put it right passed the Bulldogs goalie for a 3-2 score. Great passing and fast paced skating created great team work by all kept the intensity of the game.  Third period Nick Hamilton passed the puck over to Captain Chris Williams for the game tying goal. Ryan Huber was in net for this game and stopped 27 of the 30 shots he faced. Team Blizzard had 26 Shots on Bulldogs Goalie. 8 in the first period, 10 in the second period and 12 in the third period. Team Blizzard did not melt down in this intense game.  Which proves INTENSITY SCORES!!!!!  Terrific way to start the season!  Keep up the hard work Guys!

Sunday's game was met with the same Intense Velocity ending in a 5-2 win against Wolfpack . Mike Impellizeri in Net for the entire game faced 24 shots and Stopped 22 of them from going into our net.  Way to go Mike! The Pace of the game was set 2 minutes in to the first period by Zack Matl, assisted by Matthew Sangalli the Zack Matl made a nice pass to Captain

Chris Williams who put in right in the net for our Second goal of the game at 10:90 seconds.  The third goal in the first period was again assisted By Zackary Matl who sent it to Matthew Sangalli who did his job just right and put right past the Wolfpack Goalie . Looks like this line is really working real well together! While we skated well in the second period, we had four penalties which gave the Wolfpack the advantage over us and they took that  opportunity to  put one in our net. During the third period the Wolfpack scored again while Team Blizzard had some more visitors to the penalty box  Score 3-2. But We came back on a Powerplay in the third period This time Devon Hall passed it up to Billy Foshay who sent it to Nick Hamilton who popped it in the net for a 4-2 score . Putting on the pressure again Matthew Sangalli got his 3rd point of the game by passing it over to Captain, David Bailey who passed it to Ryan Creamer who scored the Fifth goal of the game assuring another Win for Team Blizzard.  Team Work and Passing Were two key factors in this WIN against the Wolfpack.  Defense did a good job in keeping the puck away from our Goalie. Our team is playing with confidence and seems like they have all been together for a long time. Our New teammates this season have been a welcome addition to the Bantam A Team. Good Start to the Season!
